Let the digit in one’s place be x

⇒ Digit in tens place = 24 – x

⇒ Original number = 10 (24 – x) + x = 240 – 9x

⇒ New number = 10 x + (24 – x) = 9x + 24

⇒ By the given condition,

⇒ New number = Original number + 36

⇒ 9x + 24 = 240 – 9x + 36

⇒ 18x = 252

⇒ x = 14

⇒ The one’s digit is 14 and ten’s digit is 10

∴ Answer is 1014
